During reading week I went to London with my friend. This was my first time to London. To be honesty, when I was young London was my favorite city in the world. I don’t watch soccer but only the World Cup because I can support England when I watch the World Cup. When I grew up I still loved London and I wanted to be a gentleman when I am older. I was so excited when I arrived in London because it was my dreamed city. The first day in London we went shopping in Harrods.

The second day we went to the London Bridge and the Tower Bridge. I knew the Tower Bridge because of the Olympics in London. I thought the Tower Bridge was great and amazing so I really wanted to go to the Tower Bridge. Tower Bridge (built 1886–1894) is a combined bascule and suspension bridge in London which crosses the River Thames. It is close to the Tower of London, from which it takes its name, and has become an iconic symbol of London. The bridge consists of two towers tied together at the upper level by means of two horizontal walkways, designed to withstand the horizontal forces exerted by the suspended sections of the bridge on the landward sides of the towers. The vertical component of the forces in the suspended sections and the vertical reactions of the two walkways are carried by the two robust towers. The bascule pivots and operating machinery are housed in the base of each tower. The bridge’s present color scheme dates from 1977, when it was painted red, white and blue for Queen Elizabeth II’s silver jubilee. Originally it was painted a mid greenish-blue color. I love these two bridges because I love everything in London.

The last day we went to visit my aunt in London. She has three daughters and they are all very cute. We went to eat dinner together and then we went to a concert. That day was perfect to us because we did so many thing and I met my aunt in London. I didn’t see her for so long. I miss her so such.

I love London and I am pretty sure I will come back again.
